Brief article:

1964 1/2 Mustang factory replica Indianapolis 500 Pace Car coupe. It was bought in Newport News, Virginia in June of 1996 and underwent a 2 1/2 year total restoration. It was originally a Charlotte, North Carolina DSO Green Flag sales winner sold from Stanley Ramsey Ford in Rocky Mount, Virginia. After ownership by at least 6 previous owners, it was restored to MCA Driven Concourse standards, and I enjoy driving it to local shows. Like all Pace Car replica coupes, it has the 260 V8, automatic transmission, power steering, AM radio, and back-up lights. The restoration required finding many unique early '64 1/2 parts, and I still have a few more items to find to complete the project. VMF favorite Charles Turner has helped with advice, encouragement, and locating some of the parts to make the car more complete; many thanks to Charles!
