I am building a weekend driver to be able to hang with my Porsche/cars and coffee friends. The day usually consists of coffee in the early am and a well planned 150-300 mile drive through the mountain roads of Virginia Shenandoah country. I saw the pics you posted of your wife's 70 and really like the stance and setup. I am building a 70 mach1 with a 351/408. I would be interested in knowing how you set up your suspension. I understand that you are very good at putting the right stuff together for street performance. I have a blank slate so would love some reccomendations. I don't want to buy a Porsche, but I want to set the pace...lol.Thanks Danny
Hello sir, ive tried to order a set of leaf springs off your website all night and it wont go through, i was trying to get the black friday free shipping deal. Would you still offer it to me if i call tomorrow to set up the purchase? it would be for a set of leaf springs totaling around 210$
Hi Shaun- Ive been perusing this site for info since making a deal on a 66 Mustang coupe. I'm located in Dearborn, MI and am wondering where in MI you are located? My desire is to make a Trans-Am/SCCA tribute, and am trying to decide between 15 and 16, 7 or 8" widths. I'd love to rent the tool as well, but am wondering how local you are if I could rent it w/o shipping. The car has air shocks on the back and factory style discs up front. I'm going to take the lifting blocks from the coils up front and let air out in the back and hopefully lower it 1" to start, then measure and purchase. I want to sand off the lettering on the tires and spray a vintage Hoosier or Good year pattern on it as well. You can contact me directly at [email protected] if that's more convenient. Thanks for any help/advice- Ive got less than six weeks to get the car the way I want it to look for the dream cruise, so I need to get the wheel/tire setup fast!
Shaun, Thanks for being so informative on the forum. I ordered a 4 wheel disc brake master cylinder from you over the weekend for my 73 Mach 1. After the brake install the seals in the original failed immediately. The system was flushed and the mechanic did not remove a residual pressure valve from the MC, but placed the proportioning valve in the place of the distribution block as he buggered the fitting. Would this cause the failure or was it just time? Do I need to be running the rear lines through the distribution block?
Shaun, I bought one of your brake kits from a guy locally by me. He started to install the kit but wound up parting the car out (too much rust he said). I went to put the kit on last weekend and realized that the rotor centering rings are missing. Do you sell them seperately?
Just saw this - I'm still finding my way around the new VMF!
I'm guessing you are Richard that just ordered these great shocks. I'm not planning any deals so you paid a good price. Back when I ran the deal Bilstein were running a deal so I passed it on. Unless they run another one I won't be discounting the shocks, there just isn't enough margin.
