I'm not sure you need a different slip yoke. My 3.03 was fine.
You likely don't need a new flywheel but if you change yours out check for drips and go ahead and change your rear main seal while you're in there.
You can use your original starter or this or similar starter for only $50. Lighter, faster starting and gives extra room for headers.

Chances are you can find one locally at any auto parts store... just ask for a starter for a '93 Mustang 5.0.

$65? You can’t spend more of his money than that?

Geez, that is quite a difference. To be honest, though, after pricing them out on OReilly’s, NPD and Summit, if i would have thought to check Amazon and saw that, I would have probably cruised right by assuming there was something wrong with it for that price.

I hope I don’t have a problem with it, but O’Reilly’s lifetime is kind of convenient if I ever do.

Thanks for all of the replies and advice guys. So I had the starter tested at AutoZone and it failed. Shocker! I rotated the flywheel around to check for wear and also counted the teeth. There are some teeth that are worn, but I don’t know what is an acceptable amount. Any recommendations on a good quality starter for my car? It’s 157 teeth.

DB Electical 410-14023 with a minor wiring change...move starter cable to front of solenoid and add second (12ga) wire to starter.

Completely agree with Woodchuck on this. I have a DB Electrical PMGR starter on my 351C w/10.5:1 compression and it turns it over with zero issue. If you want to pay more for a name, then Powermaster is a good choice - this assumes you're running an automatic or a manual with a 157th flywheel. If a 164th, then you need pt# 9172.
