    Heartland VMFers
If your not an organizer can we get out of the judging aspect all together? It was fun to do but we missed out on the fellowship with each other at times. I look forward to coming up there again. Nice show and nice weather. Is it in the same location?

  10. Whats the best way to get the most HP out of a C code 289? turn into 302?

    Vintage Mustang Forum
Paxton or similiar manufacturers supercharger will give the most bang without major mods. Super charging when used responsibly is incredible and affordable when considering(intake-carbs-headers-cams-heads-etc-etc)remember when super charged you don't need scavenging and good flow number because...
  11. Barry Grant/Demon Carbs and Summit Racing - what gives?

    Vintage Mustang Forum
I think my situation was a factor in that decision. I bought 1500.00 worth of BG fuel system equipment from Summit. I immediately had problems and talked to BG reps who said send it in for repairs(free). I did and got back worse than I sent. I called the BG comp and they said send it again...
  12. Thinking of a Trade! {Flame on} Dark side!!!!

    General Discussion (Non-Vintage Mustang)
OK now I can say my piece. Tony I get the same feeling walking arround car shows. I'll trade my car, for another car and be so happy to have something different. I have done that, but everytime ,I get a car that needs the things that I have done to the car I traded off. But when you sell for...
  13. Traction Control

    General Discussion (Non-Vintage Mustang)
We use traction control on race cars to control wheelspin on a slick track and several cars(Vettes etc)use it to do the same on street driven cars, to keep them in control during hard street acceleration. Those cars are lot more fun to hotrod arround when the control unit is turned off. But in...

See livin' in the midwest has it's perks, HEHEHE.. bob had the same look in his eyes as when he ran his car off the road course into the grass(I'm not sure if he was coming from, or going to, the dunk tank. ::) Midlife wouldnot have liked it Cloney kept the livestock off the show field. And...
  15. OK! Help me judge 5 cars.

    General Discussion (Non-Vintage Mustang)
My advise, divide into two classes. Modified and non-modified. Modified 1st mini(I hate 'em too but it has lots of mods and was well done)-2nd goes to Eclipes. Non-modified 1st Mustang(best presented(clean) given it's driving/racing status),,2nd vette(CLEAN CLEAN) 3rd, Sorry bob viper needed...

  17. Can a bent axle be straightened?

    Vintage Mustang Forum
If it is the axle shaft, get a replacement. If it is the axle housing there are alot of shops that can straighten it. It must be removed from the car and completely striped to the bare housing, before any of the shops around me will do it.
  18. Thanks Cloney for a GREAT show

  19. octane booster

    Vintage Mustang Forum
There will be NO octane booster that will cure the problem of 11:1 compression. A big block is more sensitive to compression than a small block. Good Gas 110 octane will be the only fuel solution. Slow the timing down but it will affect performance and cooling. I HAD TO remove compression from...
