  2. Help me find a stereo like this!

    Vintage Mustang Forum
I have a 160 GB Empeg in my 70. They've been eol'd but you can still find them. Check empegbbs and this thread. http://empegbbs.com/ubbthreads/showflat.php/Cat/0/Number/65744/page/0/fpart/1/vc/1
  3. Classic Mustang Rentals?

    Northern California VMFers
I figured odds were no but considering that there are exotic rentals, I'm surprised no one has a business to rent classics at an equivalent price to the exotics...especially for a drive along the coast. I would guess that the liability is too high on 40 year old cars for people unaccustomed...

Hertz does classics too? I figured they would just do late models(?) Thanks for the fast reply BTW. :)
  5. Another one for the tire chart

    Vintage Mustang Forum
It was at an Austin show a few years back. Not sure if he was/is on the board.

One of the best setups that I have ever seen (wish I had done the same on mine actually) is here: Front: Nitto 235/45ZR17 AR 17x8 4.5" bspc Rear: Nitto 285/40ZR17 AR 17x10 5.5" bspc (yes 10") http://forums.vintage-mustang.com/forums/showflat.php?Cat=0&Board=forum&Number=448436
  7. Mustang "buck fever"

    Vintage Mustang Forum
Thanks for all the great advice :) but I listened to you guys on my first mustang and the costs on it have crossed into "don't want to know" territory. Someone else can have a go at this one. ;)
  8. Mustang "buck fever"

    Vintage Mustang Forum
My dad calls to let me know that a friend has offered him a 64.5 coupe...free! He just needs to come get it. My hand shakes, my heart races, and I sputter, "Why are you calling me, go get it!" then I wait... I open my email to find this photo this AM. Makes you want to cry, no? Rust may...
  9. Fold Down Seat

    Vintage Mustang Forum
I did this swap to my 70 Mach 1 a few years ago. I really regret it as I'm still chasing down squeaks and rattles that contribute greatly to the interior noise. I believe that I still have some files that show what you need. PM your email if you're interested.
  10. Screws for tailight bezel

    Vintage Mustang Forum
Thanks for the offer but I only have one or two that are worth saving. I'll try the AMK route and if it doesn't work out, I may take you up on the extras.
  11. Screws for tailight bezel

    Vintage Mustang Forum
It does help, it does! Thanks for the info and the pointer on how to use their catalog. I've been struggling looking through their kits. I'll give em a call on Monday. Thanks again.
  12. Screws for tailight bezel

    Vintage Mustang Forum
Can anyone point me to a supplier for these screws? It came out of a 70 mach 1 tail light bezel. I've never seen one like it with the segmented threads. Thanks! http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a213/akbarber/48741efc.jpg
  13. Ford Radio Knobs on Ebay?

    Vintage Mustang Forum
Thanks, it's more that they'll fit the radio than the styling. The aftermarket radio that I have has a recessed shaft. I'll check at the local pick and pull when I'm back in the US. Seems like they're still for sale but maybe I'm missing something.
  14. Ford Radio Knobs on Ebay?

    Vintage Mustang Forum
Does anyone have any idea what these radio knobs are from? They look like they'll fit my aftermarket radio and blend in with the interior but I'm wondering what they were originally for. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1,1&item=7965064930
  15. Kickpanel buzz. Is there a cure?

    Vintage Mustang Forum
Be careful with the peel and seal that you get at DIY centers. Some folks complain about the asphalt smell when it sits in the sun in the summer. Others report that the smell wears off after awhile. Dynamat extreme is pricey but it would work for what you're trying. Guys at the Phoenix...

Thank you for the answers and info. It definately helps!
  17. LED tail lights from NPD?

    Vintage Mustang Forum
    Thanks for the tip. :)
  18. LED tail lights from NPD?

    Vintage Mustang Forum
No I don't view it as advertising and I appreciate the advice. I respect anyone willing to stand behind their product. Bear with me on this, following the line of thinking that further away from lens is better for light diffusion (ie a good thing) and by moving further away the LED count...

  20. LED tail lights from NPD?

    Vintage Mustang Forum
On page 118 of the NPD download catalog, there is an add for LED tail lights for a 1970. After calling they tell me it has been replaced with a different item that only has 36 LEDs vs the 200+ advertised. Does anyone know who was supplying the larger led count ones to NPD and if they are...
