  1. Cj pony sale

    General Discussion (Non-Vintage Mustang)
FYI , Summit racing always matches CJ's price wise , if they carry that part . There web site shows it . I just bought a borgesen power steering kit from summit , same as CJ's . The thing I like about summit , there absolutely no hassle return policy. RA tags are already in the shipped item ...

    Vintage Mustang Forum
I bought mine from summit , 69 351 W . But like a poster mentioned , he went and got one from a salvage yard for 35 bucks , I pd just under $100 for a 100 amp 3G ford fit unit. No problems with install , very simple operation.
  4. Picking the Brains of the Guys Who Actually Built Cars back in the Day at FMC

    Vintage Mustang Forum
I worked at Olds in Lansing durning the muscle car hey day . There was all kind of crap going on just to get the cars off the line and into the yard. They would do what ever it took not to shut a line down , including wrong parts just to meet the daily quota . Then they would have a bunch of...

  9. how old are your rubbers?

    General Discussion (Non-Vintage Mustang)
Well , I'm dyslexic and I could swear I say an H rating but it was in fact an S rating . Sorry about that. Anyhow the S rated tires are good for 112 mph ,who would drive a classic car at those kind of speeds . Accept racing and then I would think you would the be looking at specialty tires ...

  11. how old are your rubbers?

    General Discussion (Non-Vintage Mustang)
All I said was they were really availible , getting the configuration you want may not be . Just like most tire sizes , popularity dictates what's availible . Ok , I actualy went on line and found the tire size you said was not out there. So what road block are you going to use now ? And yes...

Good for you , not many can do it that early. I thought about it at that age but like I said , I didn't want my SS to be penilized by my business earnings .
  14. SS question please?

    General Discussion (Non-Vintage Mustang)
I did mine on line , took my time and got it right the first time . I did how ever get a call fron the local SS office to clarify about taxes and Medicare . If I could use mine as a DD , I would in a heart beat . But living on a gravel rd 5 miles. From a paved rd prevents that . We do however take it on long trips last one was 2000 miles in a week but they are nothing like the modern cars which you can drive 12 hrs straight and not feel totaly...
