    Vintage Mustang Forum
We are here. Our shop is out in the country and we don't have good service. I am current on my emails and phone calls, something's up. Send a fresh email and I'll get back to you as soon as I can - https://opentrackerracing.com/contact/
  2. 66 Mustang Shelby quick steer idler arm contacting inner tie rod end

    Vintage Mustang Forum
He's using the stock '65 spindles. It looks from the photo like the outer tie rod end is too far rearward. An adjustable strut rod used to add caster may give it clearance but the fact that it hits is odd. Anyone else had this issue?

  4. Bluetooth Speaker Recommendation

    General Discussion (Non-Vintage Mustang)
+1 Totally agree. Mine sounds great and plays all day. It has a ton of bass for a bologna sized speaker. Spotify has an equalizer I use with it to trim the bass/mid/treb.
  5. What to do with a junker?

    General Discussion (Non-Vintage Mustang)
My recommendation is to put it on ebay for $500 and no reserve. It will sell and the new owner will come pick it up. List it with a lot of photos and be willing to answer questions. Someone want's a car just like yours for a project.
  6. Shortening the UCA For Tire Clearance

    Vintage Mustang Forum
Most screw in ball joints are made to be used under tension or as a follower. They are not made to be used under compression. Make sure they are intended to work under compression or you will have a big safety issue.

  9. Moog upper control arm shaft not centered.

    Vintage Mustang Forum
It would need another alignment though it would be close. Moving the upper ball joint backwards also moves the outer tie rod end down, changing the toe angle. Total length (ball joint to shaft kit) can be different from arm to arm because the ball joint can be slid around a little before the...
  10. Moog upper control arm shaft not centered.

    Vintage Mustang Forum
We often offset the shafts one full spin from center. The grease fitting extender kits give 1/8" more clearance to the shock tower than a regular 90deg fitting so if your too close, use the extender kits. The arm in the photo is for the right side of the car and has the extenders installed. The...

  12. Alignment issues

    Vintage Mustang Forum
If the shafts aren't centered on the upper arms, getting the amount of caster you want is very difficult. It could be that the right side upper arm has the shaft offset so the ball joint is forward of where it should be.

  15. Correct outer tie rod ends 1970?

    Vintage Mustang Forum
I have the correct tie rod ends but it sounds like you have 1969 spindles. They use a smaller pin tie rod end. We see that a lot around here. Ford used what they had at the time. Lot's of Mustangs got the wrong year stuff.

That's close to a reverse eye height. The mid eye usually lands the cars at 13.5" from the center of the hub to the fender lip. Stock height is 14.5" - 15"

    Classic Mustang Wanted Ads
The power steering pitman for the 68 is a two hole unit, a non wearing part and not reproduced. A spare from some nice folks on here would be great or they are $75-$90ish on ebay.
