  1. If you went to a smaller steering wheel. Please tell me how you liked it.

    Vintage Mustang Forum
I went to a 14" D-Shaped wheel and love it.
  2. The Official VMF Dog Thread

    General Discussion (Non-Vintage Mustang)
We got our dog last year at Christmas and she is a senior rescue. Funny thing is I found her at a car show for Lost Our Home.org and she was one of the dogs they had. She has been my best bud, and always wants to go for a walk, which is good for me. She loves to go for rides, which is perfect...
  3. Looking at a fiberglass hood

    Mod and Custom Forum
Since my fiberglass hood has the full steel frame I used the stock springs and haven't had any issues in the 14 years its been on the car. If you don't have a full steel frame, then Yes, you must use the lighter hood springs made specifically for that hood.
  4. Looking at a fiberglass hood

    Mod and Custom Forum
I've had my fiberglass hood over a full steel frame now for over 15 years, and it still looks as good as when I put in on. No warpage and the fit is perfect. I got it from NPD.
  5. It's Saturday, can we shut up about Black Friday now?

    General Discussion (Non-Vintage Mustang)
Happy Cyber-Monday folks. Sorry, I couldn't help myself on that one. Yes, the wife and I went shopping on Black Friday, and scored some good deals on items we needed. I got a Little Giant 22 ft. ladder that normally goes for $229 for $150 at Lowes.
  6. Rally pac color for 1965 Mustang

    Vintage Mustang Forum
I have an April 1965 build date and my 65 GT A code came with the 66 low profile black Rally Pac, which matched my all black Pony interior.
  7. How to remove Parking Brake Handle?

    Mod and Custom Forum
When I did the handle on my 65 it also did not have an exit hole for the pin, and like 289vert I had to cut the metal sleeve off with a Dremel cut-off wheel. It was a PITA to say the least.
  8. Big wheels need big brakes...

    Street or Track LLC
Quick question about replacement rotors. Are they made for you or are they a stock replacement that I can get from an auto parts store? The reason I'm asking is that I have an SSBC front disc 13" conversion, and now since SSBC is defunct I can't get replacement rotors. Thanks, Peter
  9. 69 Mach 1 Flip Down Gas Cap

    Vintage Mustang Forum
    Go with National Parts Depot.
  10. The Rat Pack Experience - Caught on Video!

    Vintage Mustang Forum
That was pretty cool. Thanks for the "experience".
  11. mr stark... i dont feel so good

    Vintage Mustang Forum
Sorry to hear and see what happened. Hopefully you can get some of the items out of the car you want this way it's spirit will live on in another vehicle. Get the medical you need to get better, and our thoughts and prayers are with you.
  12. Today's word is INCOMPETENT.

    General Discussion (Non-Vintage Mustang)
It's looking great. I would rent the lift, as it would save on your back, and you'll get the trusses up more safely.
  13. Hagerty Insurance Or Another?

    Vintage Mustang Forum
I went with Grundy Insurance for Agreed Value and like them. Grundy was a few hundred dollars less than Hagerty when I got a new quote this year.
  14. JBA-1653 headers with 351w swap in a 65

    Vintage Mustang Forum
I had to put in 66 motor mounts otherwise my JBA headers 1653 hit the shock tower. Granted I only have a 289, but it did hit them until I swapped out to 66 motor mounts. They did raise the engine by about 1/2 inch. I measured from the top of the air cleaner to the underside of the hood by...
  15. NOOB 66 restomod gauges question

    Vintage Mustang Forum
I did something totally different. Instead of putting the gauges behind the bezel, I mounted then through the front so they are easier to see. All it took was a dremel tool to do some grinding on the opening, and they slide right in. My original Rally Pac not sits on the tilt column and you...
  16. Is This a Trend

    Vintage Mustang Forum
Yes, I have that in my car. It does raise the seat height, but it keeps you glued into the seat when taking the twisty turns quite nicely. For keeping the stock seat frames I think it is a good compromise.
  17. Is This a Trend

    Vintage Mustang Forum
I'm only going to comment on the LED courtesy bulbs. I had the bright white ones and didn't like them, but still wanted LED as they don't generate much heat. I finally found ones at Super Bright LEDs that are warm white in color, give off that yellow glow, and they are a pretty close match to...
  18. What's the skinny on Arizona speed camers

    General Discussion (Non-Vintage Mustang)
Chandler, Tempe, and Scottsdale have them big time so just don't run a red light or speed and you won't have an issue.
  19. Is Stainless Steel Brakes Co. SSBC Dead?

    Mod and Custom Forum
Sorry, I meant to put in 87-88.
