  1. 69/70 Rear Spoiler Support Gaskets?

    Concours Forum
Looking at this again, I see that the D0 version was not available at all in the 1975 MPC, only the D1 version was available. So my statement was that 69/70 was serviced is not correct. But they were part of the D0OZ-6344210-A spoiler kit.
  2. 69/70 Rear Spoiler Support Gaskets?

    Concours Forum
According to the MPC, the 69/70 was serviced in 1975 with 1970 parts, D0ZB-6344228-B and D0ZB-6344229-B. I would assume that these replaced a 1969 version. For 71 up the D1ZB-6344228-A and D1ZB-6344229-A were used. These 1971 parts do not apply to 69/70. NPD lists part 44228-1A for all 69-73...

    No
  4. 1967 mustang lower center console

    Concours Forum
That does not make sense. See the attached pictures of my -A part. Note the area accentuated with the blue tape in the background is straight, whereas yours is cut for a manual transmission. Does yours look like a factory cut or modified by a previous owner? Nevertheless the part is not...
  5. Seeking a part name

    Vintage Mustang Forum
Ford did have a kit available, basic part number 21048. But there was no kit listed for the Mustang. See the attached example kit for a 1966 full size Ford (A)
  6. Seeking a part name

    Vintage Mustang Forum
    The proper Ford basic part numbers and terms are: 1. Front fender - 16003/16004 - MOULDING - FRONT FENDER 2. Front door - 20938/20939 - MOULDING - DOOR - OUTSIDE 3. Rear door - 25532/25533 - MOULDING - REAR DOOR - OUTSIDE 4. Quarter panel - 29076/29077 - MOULDING - QUARTER - OUTSIDE These were...
  7. 1967 mustang lower center console

    Concours Forum
To me it appears that you have the manual (-D) part not one for the automatic. Do you see a -A stamped on your part anywhere? If so include a picture. As far as the MPC date of 12/5, those are usually approximations only, Ford used up stock when they could (e.g. when there was no safety...
  8. 1967 mustang lower center console

    Concours Forum
I thought you were talking about the plastic base, basic part 045A36. The problem you have is with 045B72, the "Panel - console finish - rear". There is a difference between the manual and automatic transmission for this part, and that is your problem. Refer to the attached picture.

Also for the lower/side pieces there was an early and late version of the plastic, different number of mounting holes. If you have damaged pieces they can be repaired. The trim is stainless and can be polished if scratched.

I can tell based on your hobby and also on your quoted response that you are going to make a very good engineer (speaking with 33 years of experience)

+1 for NPD. I've been shopping there a couple of years...here is a receipt from 1984! I wonder if I can return them - lol
  16. Squirrely Ba$tards!

    General Discussion (Non-Vintage Mustang)
Sorry about that Chief. https://pvcventscreens.com/shop/ I use the 70% filter during bee season, 90% in winter, on both suction and discharge lines. To be safe I flared out from 2" to 3" at each end, so even with a 70% flow I'm getting full effective flow. They recommend putting the...
  17. 67 K Code fastback

    Vintage Mustang Forum
some observations: 1. There was no interior decor (deluxe) option, but they added the brushed stainless to the dash. Then they added the brush panel to the standard door panel, when deluxe panels can be bought. Just dumb considering the value of the car. They also did not install the interior...
  18. Center AC vent

    Concours Forum
The flat non-A/C as well as the flat version with the convenience control option both have tabs that align with holes in the metal dash, but I agree that the larger panels on each side have posts and the plastic center piece is clamped in place. No dedicated fasteners. However, for the A/C...
  19. Painting 67 GT,

    Vintage Mustang Forum
+1 on concoursmustang.com. There is a section there that has dozens of pictures of unrestored cars. Once you look at multiple unrestored cars of your model year and assembly plant, as close as possible to your car's build date, there is usually no question as to what is "correct". But since...

Getting back on track...I can offer my assistance if you are interested. I'm an MCA certified judge within 5 miles of both Plymouth and Westland. Also I'm not the clown variety of judge, although I do have big shoes :) If I were you I would be concerned about selling it at a fraction of the...
