  1. Part question

    Vintage Mustang Forum
Did you have any issues without plate? I had a noise which at first was thought to be throwout bearing but is now thought it is actually the flywheel hitting the stater without that separation plate being there.

  3. Part question

    Vintage Mustang Forum
I found out today that I’m missing a part.... I need a bell housing separation plate. Is this part based on the motor or the transmission? I have a 289 but my transmission is a Srod from early 80s foxbody. Apparently guy before me left out that part when he converted from auto to manual. I...

Thank you Woodchuck that certainly would be a more economical option freeing me up to put the money in other things I need to do.

The 67 I got a little over a month ago came with not as much detailed info as I would have liked but the car is pretty solid and I feel the guy I got it from was honest in his description for what he knew about car. I’ve been trying to piece together as much as I can from what I can physically...

Thank you Nailbender I’m not planning on throwing in the towel anytime soon. This car has been a dream of mine for many years. I can handle most things or at least have friends that can help. For whatever reason I always get worried about messing with brakes. Hoping this guy can get me straight...

  11. On the road but a ways to go...

    Vintage Mustang Forum
Well after a little over a month of picking up the 67 I was able to get it out on the road for a 20 mile ride to the shop. Have very little detail info on what was done to car over the past couple years. Guy was having it worked on and basically is not a "car guy" had it in a shop with a guy...

  13. 2 Part Brake Switch Question

    Vintage Mustang Forum
Today I replaced the turn signal switch and now brake lights are working as well as all blinkers. Crazy thing is prior to replacing hazards worked on two corners and flashed on dash now no hazards at all not even flashing in dash. Now I need to tackle having no dash lights. I would first check...

Hello Recently purchased 67 Coupe. Going through car figuring out what was done and what needs to be done. Having multiple lighting issues, no instrument panel lights, radio not lighting up, no back up lights and no brake lights. Previous owner changed car from automatic to manual I’m...

  17. How many miles?

    Vintage Mustang Forum
In my application it asked estimated yearly mileage. I would not see going over 5k myself either.
  18. How many miles?

    Vintage Mustang Forum
So I have 67 Coupe arriving either this weekend or beginning of next week. Ylexot Pointed me in the direction of a pretty solid car that needs a little work but is a good base. I’m looking into insurance and leaning towards Hagerty. I had them when I had my corvette a few years back and was...
  19. New Looking for some guidance

    Vintage Mustang Forum
I really have no interest in anything other than 67-68 as far as mustangs go. I had 2001 5.0 I sold last winter after racking up over 200,000 miles on it. Had a C3 corvette that I restored about 8 years ago enjoyed for a few years but had to sell due to life... Looking to fill that void in my...
  20. New Looking for some guidance

    Vintage Mustang Forum
Thanks all for your guidance. I’m just looking for something I can get started with. A car that isn’t a rust bucket that needs work but I could also take out for a ride every once in a while during its stages of getting to be “the car”. At this time a shiny paint job isn’t as important as...
