I need to tune the carb correctly, but started and ran fine today. Was just curious about the fuel level. I wanted to run a filter until I get it completely drained and full with new fuel. Thanks fellas.

So, I had a small carburetor issue. Which I rebuilt the 2100 on there. I decided to add a fuel filter between the tank and pump after discovering a fuel pump issue as well. It's a fram g12. I noticed its NOT filling completely. I understand the angle may cause a decent sized bubble, but this...

I've got the filler neck off in the paint booth right now, so I should be able to see in there just fine. Still, I feel like the general consesus is to just replace the tank vs cleaning it out. (If there's any contaminants in there) If it's just bad gas, then I can flush it out and move on.

Thanks everyone for all the help. I yanked the carb yesterday and rebuilt it. There was a bunch of algae/varnish smelling fuel in the bowl, and a tear in the diaphram. Now to address that.

So, I'm a bit uncertain of how long my 66 car sat before I obtained it. But I know for sure it was atleast 3 years. How many times it was ran, I'm not sure. Anyhow, after a small carb mishap (some of you may have seen my other thread), I noticed when I tore the carb down there was a significant...

Please keep in mind, Chock does close down for the winter from my understanding. I had plans to send him my steering box too, but don't know if I'll meet his deadline. They leave around the 18th of December and don't come back until late Feburary?

I've got the carb. I have an older weiland intake that I need to do some minor work on. Or buy a new intake. But I also have 2 rebuild kits, and bought the 2b intake to 4b carb adapter as well. For now, I'm just gonna yank the 2b carb off of it and do a quick cleaning and rebuild.
