  1. rear firewall upgrade?

    Vintage Mustang Forum
Installed a tank and filler shield in my Mom's 65 Fastback about a year ago. probably one of the better kits that I have seen. Unfortunately I think the business that made these was located in Riverside, CA and they went out of business.
  2. My father/son project

    Vintage Mustang Forum
Reminds me of my 68 coupe that I restored with my father and drove in high school. It was my first car and I learned a lot wrenching on it. Awesome progress and best of luck with a strong finish to having a very cool classic Mustang.
  3. Anybody really good at Photoshop!?

    Vintage Mustang Forum
This is awesome. I think there should be an entire thread on this forum devoted to illustrations and pre visual designs.

Door Wiring Harness With the actuators mounted, I modified the 5-wire harness and worked on the door electrical wiring. Each door has two harnesses. For harness #1, I modified a factory style pony door harness #C6ZZ-13A769-A. The black and blue wires on the 2-pin Deutsch connectors are for the...

Very cool to know the full history of the car. Love the color. Best of luck with reassembly.
  8. Power steering v Manual?

    Vintage Mustang Forum
I think a lot of it also depends on the width of the tires that you want to go with up front. Is your car a manual or automatic? It depends on how far you want to go, but you could look at a rack and pinion conversion. Are you installing a serpentine kit on your 302 or keeping a stockish V...
  9. Mustang station wagon?

    Vintage Mustang Forum
Interesting find. Maybe this is what inspired the 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E station wagon, I mean crossover?
  10. Our new 64 1/2

Very nice car. I don't think anyone can go wrong with a classic red Mustang convertible. If anything, I think you should address that floor mat, otherwise drive and enjoy!

Installing Power Door Lock Actuators I opted to go with the Electric Life 5-wire door actuators. The 5 wire actuators have built in switches that can trigger an alarm or communicate with a module. Also, turning the key or triggering the lock knobs in one of the doors will cause the other to...

  15. 1965 mustang 289 coupe- need your thoughts please

    Vintage Mustang Forum
Not sure if someone else mentioned it, but those look like 68 Mustang seats, not 65-66. Lots of great feedback. Rust repairs are costly, so I would inspect the floors by pulling up the carpet and also by viewing the pans/unibody on a lift if possible. I would also look at the rear quarter...
  16. 65 temp guage problem.

    Vintage Mustang Forum
I have a 65 Convertible with the Falcon style dash. The alt and oil are idiot lights. The engine temperature and fuel are sweep gauges. Does your car have the 3/8" or 5/8" sized water temperature sending unit? Mustangsplus has a great article regarding changing the 65 Falcon style dash to...
  17. How hard is it to install a new fuel line from tank to motor in a 65 200

    Vintage Mustang Forum
I've changed out the fuel line on a 65 Fastback and it was very simple with the parking brake, exhaust, and driveline off the car. I had access to a lift which helped. Do you have a good set of jack stands? I would recommend picking up a fuel line clip kit and apron fuel line grommet.
  18. 65 Coupe "Do over" Build

Nice work. Love the progress on your solid car. It's great that the previous owner kept the original parts. I need to refresh my 65 AC evaporator too. I like your build plan: white TMI interior, rally pac, t5, hydraulic clutch, GT fog lights, 3.25 gearing. All good stuff.
