My first car bought in 1988. My dad and I spent a year restoring it. While away at college I told my dad to sell it...luckily he didn't listen. Got it out of storage around 1999. Took about a month to get it road worthy. Since then I have slowly been doing small modifications to it. The biggest change was the conversion from the C4 to T5. I thought it was going to be an easy weekend project. Ended up taking most of the summer and a good year to totally get it right (make sure all of the nuts and bolts are tight). Paint job is a 10 footer. I did color sand the entire thing and it made a huge difference bringing it down from a 20 footer. I also rebuilt the top end, adding numerous "go fast" parts. Future plans include a new bottom end and possibly a new paint job...once the kids are off of the payroll.
