Dad gave me his 66 Mustang Convertible, 289 V-8 in 2016. It sat in the garage for 20 years after he moved to a smaller house. He always rode his bike to work, so it has only 86K on it (and that is with his stint in the Army, driving cross country). He gave it to me coincidentally right after my wedding engagement, so I was ecstatic for months, even as the bills for both began rolling in. :)
1966 Ford Mustang (White)
All original V-8, 289 engine.Power steering, manual brakes, automatic
All original interior, except armrests and kick panels with speakers and (soon) carpet. It was filthy, but she has cleaned up nicely with lots of products from Griots.
Dad added yellow fog lights in the late 70's. I have added new LED brake, parking and backup.
Dad replaced the original FM radio with a cassette player in the 80's. I'll be replacing it with a modified AM radio that accepts bluetooth/usb. Original paper speaker was nothing but a big magnet in a frame when I removed what was left.
Original, and needs some work. but still has a nice ride.
Wheel and Tire
Original hubcaps, and 14" Firestone white walls. It could use something really slick, but they wouldn't be originally Dad's so kinda torn.
