History
Found this truck being loaded on a trailer to go to the crusher so I bought it for 600 dollars and restored it.
1979 Ford Custom Explorer (Baby blue)

Modifications

Drivetrain
.060 over stock 302 with a 268h flat tappet cam, E7 heads lightly ported, ported 289 intake and a 429 2 barrel Motorcraft carb. I'm running a replacement of the original Duraspark 2 ignition, stock exhaust manifolds with a 2 1/4" dual exhaust and side pipes.
Interior
I got some dark blue felt from my local upholsterer and covered the original paper board head liner but I don't have a photo of that. Otherwise, the interior is stock restored including keeping the original tilt steering wheel.
Exterior
I re-painted it original light blue but I could find no one that sells the original side stripe kit. The bed has a brush in bed liner. The yellow lab in the bed of the truck is a rare option.
Audio
Radio doesn't work but I never listen to car radios any more.
Suspension
stock twin I beam, Monroe heavy duty shocks, leaf spring, 9 inch rear, 3.25 gears
Wheel and Tire
later model F150 stainless wheels with Cooper Cobra tires.
