California Special which includes blacked out grill with fog lights, twist lock hood pins, Shelby style non functioning side scoops, Fiberglass trunk lid with spoiler and side extensions, pop off gas cap, Shelby style tail lights, rear and side stripes

I purchased this car from the restorer residing in North Carolina and shipped it to Spokane Washington, almost corner to corner in the US. The car was stripped to bare metal, the drivers door and front fender were replaced due to sloppy prior repairs. The oringinal 289 was rebuilt, bored .040 over with an Eldebrock 4bbl intake and 500 CFM carb added. A mild cam was also installed. The entire ignition has been converted to electronic.

Original C code 289 bored .040 over with mild cam, Eldebrock intake and 4bbl carb, electronic ignition. Factory A/C system has been totally replaced using R134 A Freon. Dual exhaust from factory manifolds. C4 auto. Export brace and Monte Carlo bar.

Mostly original but does have 69 seatbacks with headrests. Mini tach has been installed in the clock location and Deluxe wood grain dash and door panels are installed. Custom California Special badging on the passenger side dash and the same for the floor mats. Both lower and upper consoles have been installed with the upper having the same wood grain as the dash. Wood grain steering wheel.

Few mods to the exterior, all California Special features remain intact. Windshied has been replaced with a proper tinted glass. The rear valance has been replaced with the GT style exhaust cutouts and the dual exhaust tips have been installed. Chrome rock guard and wheel well trim installed.

A period correct Am/Fm stereo radio with speakers in the kick panels is installed.

Few mods but many parts replaced. Metal plate installed behind rear seat for safety and added rigidity. 22 gallon gas tank.

15” Ford chrome wheels with GT center caps. Michelin tires.
