1965 Ford Mustang Fastback (Rangoon Red)


FiTech EFI 600 HP Power Adder to control electric fans and AC. Tanks Inc. EFI tank w/255 LPH Walbro in-tank fuel pump. Tremec 5-Speed Transmission with a short-throw shifter; Randy’s Ring & Pinion 8” 3.55:1 posi for traction; 24” Flow-Cool A/C Condenser; Old-Air Products 24” Griffin Aluminum radiator with twin 11” 2800 CFM electric fans; Evans waterless coolant; and a Tuff Stuff 1-wire 140 Amp Alternator.

Engine Balanced & Blueprinted with all new performance internals, bored .30 over, which now produces 300 HP at the flywheel; Edelbrock: Performance cam; Performer Intake manifold; and high flow water pump; Mallory electronic UniLite ignition with UniLite distributor, new wires, and E3 spark plugs. JBA ceramic coated mid-length headers flow into 2.5" SS JBA H-pipe mid-pipes, into SS JBA mufflers and out through 2.5" SS tips . An Optima Yellow Top battery powers “The Beast”.
Customized Speedhut 140 mph electronic speedometer with the 50th Anniversary Mustang logo; Autometer Phantom - 2 1/16” white faced gauges; Refurbished original Rally Pac (Tach & Clock); Classic Auto Air Perfect Fit R134a A/C system with a custom vent system made from an OEM under-dash unit; refurbished fold-down seats and all rear panels; and installed new carpet.

TMI Deluxe Sport R series Pony upholstery with Sport R foam; TMI two-tone Pony door panels; TMI tilting headrests; Three-point seat belts were added for safety; a new Daniel Carpenter center console installed; Over 125 sq. ft. of Dynamat Extreme installed for sound deadening.

Flaming River tilt column with Billet Specialties 14” Street Lite Black leather on Black anodized steering wheel.

Installed 67 Cougar seat risers, and moved them back 1" from stock location. Along with seat extenders, and other modifications to the seat risers give me now 4.5" of extra legroom, not to mention more than 2" more headroom.
Truck-Lite 27270C 7” round LED H4 headlights with a Dual Headlight relay system; Mustang Project - Shelby Sequential LED bolt in tail lights. All interior lights are LEDs from Oracle Lighting.

All components were taken off; media blasted and repainted its original color of Rangoon Red – PPG 71243 Fleet. All interior and exterior metal panels were treated with POR15- rust preventer. All sheet metal is original with the exception of the Shelby GT350 fiberglass over full steel frame.
Kenwood DNX773S double-din deck with 7” Color LCD touchscreen, GPS, Navigation, Bluetooth, USB, IPod controls, DVD player, color backup camera, 4 Kenwood speakers, with 1000 watt Pyle Amplifier, and a BOSS 1500 watt powered subwoofer . Monster Cables connect everything.
Total Control Products (TCP): Power Rack & Pinion assembly with a complete Front Coil-over Strut conversion with the Shelby 1” drop Upper Control Arms. TCP adjustable rear shocks.

Tin-Man Sub-frame connectors were added to stiffen the chassis along with a 1 1/8” front sway bar; and new rear mid-eye 4 ½ leaf springs.
Wheel and Tire
Stainless Steel Brake Corporation (SSBC) four wheel disc brakes, Fronts are Force 10 Extreme 13” rotors, and rears are 11” rotors. Disc-to-disc Power brake booster with dual master cylinder, and an SSBC Adjustable proportioning valve.

2001 Mustang Bullitt rims, spacers, and Nitto NT555 (235x45x17) Extreme Performance tires.
