I am the second owner of Rosie. An older lady purchased her in 1965 and had her until I purchased her in 2012. She's a 4 door and has a 289 in it "currently". I am a college student so I can only afford things here and there to do to her!
1965 Ford Custom 500 (Green)
Rosie has a 289 with a 350cfm 2 barrel Holley under the hood. This 289 is the numbers matching motor from 1965 and has NEVER been cracked open. Only has 85,000 miles on the odometer and has not rolled over.
Currently the dash is still in the car, along with the seats but the carpet and headliners are out of it because they were horrible!
As of right now she is all stock on the outside with only minor rust/damage. I hope to have her painted wishing the next few years.
Stock AM radio but plan to install a new radio in the glove box!
When I purchased the car I put it on jacks in the driveway and changed the shocks out with Monroe shocks to help the ride. Inexpensive but better.
Wheel and Tire
When I purchased the car I put it on jacks in the driveway and changed the the drums and pads all the way around the corner. I still have the original hubcaps and wheels but plan on swapping them out for something nicer but "period look"
