As much as I like the vintage/muscle car look of Magnums on the '70, I've been seeing a lot of '69s and '70s lately with 17s and 18s that just look incredible.
So, I got to thinking - I've got a real nice set of 17" AR Salt Flats sitting in the garage that I bought for the '73 a while back, and the centres are powder-coated black, which ought to look awesome against that Grabber stripe...

I know that you folks out there are pretty split on liking/disliking the modern wheels on these old cars, but I think they look amazing.
Here they are without caps on:

And with caps and spinners (it looks a little high in the rear because the taller 15" tires are still mounted on the other side):

Just one little problem. Tire sizes are perfect - I'd just forgotten that the front wheels are 8" wide, not 7":

Yup, there's about 2mm of clearance between the fender and tire! No amount of fender rolling's going to help this one - dang. :(

They look good! They would look better on my 73 vert. :) Would you be interested in selling them?

Unless you order custom backspacing for those, I suspect that even 7" wide wheels will be an interference fit with a 3.5" backspace. Check Nick's (Dodgestang) chart to see what fits a '70. A good fit for a 17"x8" wheel on a '67 requires a 4.75" backspace.

Thanks.
Believe me, I've given that a lot of thought. the thing is, between the cost of the wheel and the custom powder-coating, they run big $$. Probably not the smartest thing for me to do so close to Christmas... :p

They definitely would look hot! I'll be giving some thought to whether I want to invest in a pair of 7"ers to replace the fronts and use them myself. If not, I'll get in touch -
