Don't know for sure what's under this particular car but the Arvinode system came later, in the autumn and was used until they switched to the common GT dual muffler style. From what I read Arvinode was only on earlier cars and no longer offered after 65. There's no way a dual exhaust with a 3rd transverse muffler sounds like that.

The owner said the exhaust was an early factory variation. I personally didn't think it sounded THAT great.

The Arvinode system was the second system. The MM monthly article confirms that too: "On October 15, 1964, Ford switched to the Arvinode dual exhaust, which was used on Hi-Po Mustangs through March of 1965 when the GT dual exhaust system took its place"

According to the Virginia Mustang site the ones under the floor are resonators and not regular mufflers (although they look almost identical to the later GT mufflers that were in the same position).

What I meant was that later 65 cars didn't have it. So technically I guess it's only the ones in tbe middle that got it.
