Hey guys,
I know the 289 engines in 1965, mine was assembled on March 31st, were black with gold valve covers and carb breather.
Anyone tell me if the black was gloss or flat, and the same question for the gold stamped metal.
Or if you have paint numbers for these colors.
Thanks

I used Duplicolor’s Semi-gloss black engine paint. For the air cleaner and valve covers, I used Duplicolor’s Universal Gold engine paint. The Universal Gold is very close to the original bronzish gold that Ford used.
