I have a 1965 Coupe and her ignition switch was sticking on me. I got a piece of hard wire and removed the switch from the dash and in doing so it knocked everything loose (wires etc) going to the starter. There are two springs that I have found and I cannot figure out where in the hell they go. Does anyone have an online schematic of how the ignition switch works or some idea as to how to get her back together?

There's a couple of springs inside that help the return from START to RUN, IIRC. Is that what you are talking about?

I can't help much, as I carefully disassembled my ignition switch, and replaced it, copying over from the old unit. Never did take notes, nor are they in the Shop Manual. Just experiment around until it seems to work correctly prior to actual wire hookup after installing it in the dash.
