Reaching out for some support....can any confirm the wheels on the GT350R prototypes?

Poking around the interwebs, seems to be the American Racing Torq Thrust D Wheels with the cap removed. However, it could be shading...but the angles look a little different??

Is it me or do the wheels on the GT350 look a little darker? Perhaps powder coated?

Just trying to get a couple sets of eyes on the comparison...

Here is an authentic competition model ( 5R094 ) which resides here in South Central Kansas. I believe Fred has owned it about 50 years now. I don't know if the black centers are period correct or original to this specific competition model.

After further googling...came across an interesting post which mostly answers my questions....shoulda waited 10 minutes..haha.

Maybe someone else will find this useful..


Although still not sure which to get, TT classic, D or II...

I suspect the answer as to why there are no center caps on the rims.. its a race car.. why risk them coming loose and falling off...

Thanks all, didnt necessarily care about the caps...im not racing mine. Just figuring out what wheels to get. I think I will go with TTDs.

You got a torque spec for them cap screws?
