SOLD 1965 Shelby GT350 Clone SOLD

This 1965 Ford Mustang Fastback had a full nut-and-bolt restoration completed with performance in mind in late 2006 by Classic Motorsports and Mustang Coral in Northern California. No expense was spared. Started with a San Jose built, black-plate, rust-free C-code car that has all original floor pans and quarter panels. Approximately 5,000 miles have been covered since the restoration was completed, and the car is well sorted with a build sheet as impressive as they come.

The body was media blasted to bare metal and painted with PPG base clear BMW dark blue by Ken's Custom Auto Body in Yuba City, California. Modifications include a Shelby fiberglass hood, functional side scoops for rear brakes, and an R-model from valance. spun aluminum mirrors, extended lug nuts, and an R-model vented plexiglas rear window.

The car has a highly developed suspension and chassis.

The interior has a custom built 1.20 wall 6 point roll cage with side impact bars that is very nicely integrated, especially in the A-pillar area. A 10lb, 3-nozzle Halon fire suppression system was added for safety, as was a battery disconnect and engine kill switch. Seats are ProCar leather units with headrests and Simpson 5-point harnesses with cam lock quick release keep driver and passenger secure. In place of the rear seat is a package tray with matching spare tire. Custom aluminum door panels match the dash accents, and the leather-wrapped wheel has a quick-release hub.

The V8 produces ~400Hp and ~401lbft of torque to the rear wheels.
