Huge thanks to @silverblueBP for setting me straight on which Hurst shift lever does what. At first I had the 1/2 and reverse levers swapped. Had to remake the 1/2 rod. After that it worked like a champ. Helps if you read the Hurst diagram correctly...albeit somewhat cluttered at best.
I have all kinds of freaking problems. I spent two hours screwing with the distributor today. Would not go in. First I thought it was the black anodize...which it was to some extent. Turned out to be a interference between the COBRA intake and the dizzy housing.
Oh...I forgot Russ. The spring is disconnected to remind me to pull that cover. I primed the oil system today and noticed a leak at the rear corner of that cover.
