Well the one is a 66 and the other is not.

Look close It looks like 68 but it is 66

Both numbers come back as 66 289 302

There was no 302 in '66 so whereever your reading that it's wrong. This is a '65/'66 left side manifold.

As has been said above, those aren’t matching manifolds. The one that drops down more is for a full-size car with a 289, I believe.

Ok I will check my other engine and get the manifold off the drivers side and replace the one you guys say is wrong Thanks

Mustangtek is where I got the number information. Both are 289 1966 manifolds according to this website

They are both for a 289, but one is for a Mustang and one is for a bigger car. So you’re not wrong that it’s for a 289, just not a Mustang.
