Bare with me on the pictures. I tried to get them as best as i could. I just installed a 289 with a 4 speed toploader and failed to take notice of the clutch fork when i installed it. When it was time to set up the clutch rod, you can see from the pics, theres a hole where the dimple should be.. I'm not sure if the previous owners cut out the dimple or i have an odd clutch fork. Am i able to use the 2nd pic clutch rod in place of 1966 style one? Or should i painfully spend my weekend removing the transmission, exhaust and everything else and put in the correct one? Thanks in advance.

Weld up the “pocket” on your current arm or use the kind of kit in your photo.
