Hi All!

I'm looking to possibly buy and restore a '66 Mustang V8 coupe in pretty decent condition. It's an automatic, 2 barrel, california built car, 21,000 miles after rebuilt engine in '06, AC/heat, center console, and in tahoe turquoise (original color). I wouldn't do anything fancy to it, just keep it completely stock, repaint it with the original color and fix some minor body issues, replace all chrome and some interior parts, and put magnum wheels on it. The goal is to make it as clean and solid looking as possible to make it about a #2 condition.

So my question to all of you is. . . How much would such a restored 1966 V8 mustang coupe go for in today's market and in Los Angeles???

Also, it has a black vinyl top. So I also wonder, does having the vinyl top make it worth more, or would not having the vinyl top make it more valuable??

Hope you all will be able to answer my questions! THANKS!

The vinyl top is either a plus or minus, depending on the buyer. I'd go with the top, myself.

It'd look something like this:
