Hello all!

New member looking for some help please.
I was hoping someone could help me with decoding the data plate.

6F07T726864

I know I have a 1966, but the rest does not correspond with what is already publicly known on 1966mustang.net

Trim is 26A (Help)
Date 27G (Help)
DSO 27 (I can't find a number 27 DSO code)
AXLE 2 (2.83:1)
20201012_092812.jpg

6 dual range Automatic C4

Any help yall can offer would be greatly appreciated.

Looks like you had a very late build of July 27th, 1966, right on the cusp of DSO 27 Cincinnati starting up. 26A trim is black crinkle all vinyl.

Thanks... that just raises more questions to the VIN since it says it was assembled in Dearborn with the 6 [year 1966] F [ Dearborn plant] or am I mistaken?

I can’t tell what your confusion is regarding? It looks like 4ocious has you covered

I believe the most likely scenario is as 4ocious suggests. Your cars scheduled build date is so late in the 66 production year, 67 production was probably only a few weeks later, they may have started using the 27 Cincinnati DSO code by then.
