Has anyone ever heard of this vehicle? On our favorite auction site, there is an old magazine article listed (item no. 2111229459). It has a photo of a right-hand drive, two seater convertible with what appears to be a Ford FE motor. Anyone ever heard of this?

In 1967 AC Cars produced the 428, a seven-litre sporting model with a body design by Frua of Turin. 29 Convertible and 51 Fastback vehicles were produced up to 1973, when production ceased.

Yup. BTW, did you know that most of the records set by Cobras were by 289's and not 428's.
