OK, pretty easy. Disconnect the shift rods from the shifter. Drop the shifter into the lower boot, feed the levers through the slots in the bottom of the boot. Reinstall the shifter to the transmission. Reattach the shift rods. Pull the lip at the top of the boot through the floor, right on the steel floor. Install the upper boot directly on the lower boot.

Can anyone tell the the proper orientation for the lower boot on the 67 lower boot on the manual transmission? It has a bunch of holes in it but none really match up to anything in particular.
Never mind, I did find this in past replies to boot issues. Doesn't look like fun.

JUST finished installing, what a job, wish I had put this on before I put the tranny in the car. It would have been sooooo much easier!
