I have a friend who has a 1967 Shelby GT500 convertable and I'm trying to find out how rare and how we prove it is what we think it is. What value might it be worth. Thanks for any help out there.

IIRC, there was only one '67 vert, but you can get a production report from Marti Auto Works

Since its a Shelby, you could also check with the Saac or Shelby's new venture, Link

Since there is some question about what you actually have, could it be a '68? (Other than an 8 in the VIN, it would have side marker lights and the scoop at the front of the hood instead of the middle.)

67 Shelby vert? Unless its a freak, I don't think so. If you have the VIN, PM me, I can look it up in the Registry. Let me know.

There was only 1 (67) built. It has been owned by the Volo auto museum. There is a rumor going around that it was sold for $1,000,000 recently.
Obviously, your friend does not own it.
