I have recently got ahold of a 1968 mustang with the 289. I am currently in the middle of tear down have the motor and tranny pulled. I pulled flexplate off and then realized there is a weight. Now do I need to know exact placement of this flex plate or just make sure the drain plugs on torque converter are not blocked? I am new to the true classic mustang world any help very appreciated! Thanks.

The bolt pattern on flexplate will only allow it to bolt up one way.
