Guys,
My friend gave me a data for the car, which is for sale in his area. He has no clue about stangs.
What he asked me what approximate price will be good to pay for. Salling price is negotiable around $20K Car is in Dallas.

Data:
VIN# 8R01J155968
302 4V Challenger/ borred over 0.060 (by Pitcucks automotive)
C4 / rebuilded (by Hootens)
British racing green
Delux interior - green
All original matching #s
89000 original milles
All new suspension
# 923 made in 1968
In registry of Cal.Specials magazine.
Car looks better than good condition.

Just need some ideas, my friend does not want to pay much more than it's worth it.
Any comments?

Seems high, I have seen restored (#1 cars) Cal. Specials in the Dallas area for 10-15 grand. So one in good gondition should be much less. My personal opinion, a 60 over bore is less desireable.

Seems a tad high to me too. Price guide says for a #2 condition 68 Ca. Spc. $17,307.00 The .060 over block is not good.

60 overbore is way to much. I'd stay away. 40 over is probably the most you would want to go on a 289/302 block.

First off. I should buy it, I WANT a CS/GT badly (it's my dream car). Something like that should be around $16K unless it is in MINT condition, then maybe $18K.

I agree with the others. That is high. I wish I were wrong!

That might be right for a #1 390 with all the GT features, consoles and 4 speed, but the 60 over 302 is not desirable from an engine perspective or from a quality prespective.
