damn that is so cool..I had the original from my Mach since I am only the 2nd owner..it was in the glove box when I bought it..but somehow over the years it just vanished

Yep, that's one of my Mustang treasures, along with the original invoice, owner's manual, warranty manual, and dealer envelope. I've had a few judges at regional shows drop their jaws at technical inspections when they've had me open the glove box to show the owner's manual. /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif

Although the lettering looks worn in the photo, it isn't. That's just the glare, the card is in mint condition.

As you can see, the '66 card was slightly different. I think that there was once a plastic pocket to hold the metal data plate. I bet the bottom section held a signature area, like yours.

Well, thanks for clearing up that mystery for me. I can't restore it to ideal shape (with original owner's sig), but at least I have an idea what it should be like.

I thought they were different, but couldn't remember for sure. Why don't you contact Charles Turner? He may have a photo of what the signature piece looked like. I don't think any of my friends here in Tucson have one, so I can't help out that way.

I will send you an email with a picture of the front and back of my 66 Owner Warranty Card. I don't have a web site so I can't post it here. I can vouch for the authenticity of the card since I purchased the car at William’s Ford, Daly City, CA on July 3, 1966. Note there is not a signature line on mine.
