I have a 1968 red Mustang. I replaced the instrument cluster lights with red LED lights. I had the old white lights with a red filter on each bulb. With the new LED lights, do I still need the red filters or if I remove those will my dash lights be brighter?

LEDs have been know to be too bright at times, like the high beam indicator becoming a laser pointer.
It'll be up to you to decide but try it both ways. I think that the lens cover would help to diffuse the light into a better more even shower of light pattern.

Should make very little difference unless the red filters are dirty or darkened with age or overheating.
