Anyone provide parts to be swapped when installing a 1968 tilt steering column into a 1967 regular column using the long rod steering box. The box has some play & if I change the steering box, what do I need to replace to match up to the 1968 tilt column?

I haven't messed with tilts but my understanding is that when swapping from 67 to 68 you need to also swap to a 68 (or late 67) steering box. I have a 67 coupe. I have a 68 column and gearbox I'm going to swap in (if I ever get around to it). My understanding is it should be a bolt in swap. One minor problem is that the 67-68 column wiring is different, requiring swapping wires around in the plug connector.
I believe the the tilts use a unique (and not reproduced) "rag joint" connection between the box and column. This will likely cause you problems.
Wait a day or 2 and post again. There are so many posts no one can really keep up. I'm sure someone else has done a similar swap and can provide more concrete info.
