How important are the two rubber plugs on top of the cowl? I just got my car back from paint and realized that the body guy did not put these in. The car and all the gaps are fantastic so I’m not crazy about taking off the fenders but I will if it’s important.

Thoughts?

I don't know exactly where you're talking about, but could they be pushed in (by a flexible fellow) from the fresh air vent area?

you wont have to take the fenders off, just the cowl grill
basically a few sheet metal screws, the wiper arms, and the lower chrome trim

if they did the whole paint job the shop shouldn't charge you to do it. was their neglect.

Good point. I can probably reach up in the cowl and put them in from underneath.

I’ll cut the body guy some slack. He s a couple of states away and did an awesome job at a reasonable price so I will forgive a slight miss here or there. He sprayed it ruby read metallic and it is a thing of beauty. Plus, he was super fussy on all panel gaps.
