I did a search on Fiberglass bumpers, but most of them are old, so maybe things have gotten better.

Who now has the best fitting Fiberglass front bumpers for a 1970? Working on the "car diet" and this is on the list. I would like something that at least fits as well as an OEM, and I am okay if I have to cut and splice it and do minor mods.

Also open to carbon fiber as an option.

What have you been using for bumper brackets since the OEM ones are heavy? Custom made, something off the shelf?

Thanks,

Can't remember the brand, but I think mine came from Mustangs Plus 10+ years ago. It actually fit pretty well. I ended up using urethane and glued the brackets to the bumper 1st so that there weren't any bolt heads showing. I worked great up until a few years ago- heard rattling and discovered it came loose, so hid a couple bolts on the bottom side.

Check VFN. I don't know how the bumper looks like or how it fits. I got their hood and fits very well.

Thanks. I did talk with them and they are out about 9 weeks since everything is made to order. It does look like a great offering since they have carbon fiber, CF/Fiberglass, and Fiberglass options.

My hood took 5 months, which was one month less than what they quoted. I think they are very honest in this regard.
