Any recommendations for a shift kit for a 1970 FMX?

351C 4v, 3:00 rear end.

Yes I had one installed last year, it shifts crisp and hard under load but not as much in normal use. I like it in my 70 mach. would do again.

i had one installed last summer. i agree with machblu on its performance. transgo is the only one i could find for an fmx. i purchased mine from summit racing.

The FMX is not as friendly as the C4 IMO, you'll see after you drop the pan.
I used a B&M kit

Did either of you install it yourself, or have someone else do it? I just want to understand how difficult it was, and if you ran into any problems.

i used an original ford shift kit. i wish i still had the package it came in so i could give you the part number. you should be able to get the part number form the lcal ford dealer but you'll most likely have to get the actual part from one of the NOS parts places like green sales or something
