When we picked up the car yesterday it was running hot, if you drive the car above 70 mph it get's into the danger zone and when you back off it cools back down. Could it be a bad water pump or somthing clogged. We stoped once and I ran water over the radiator a little and I could even put my hand on the top. It should have been hotter than that. What do you think?

Reads like a partial blockage. Could be the thermostat is not fully opening, plugged tubes in the radiator, or even trash in the engine block. I'd approach it by getting the radiator rodded out, or replace it altogether, put in a new thermostat, and do an engine flush.
