I was wondering if anybody ever changed brake shoes on these cars, i ran into a problem today. My problem was the bolts that hold the caliper in was so tight i couldnt even get one out, the bolt started to strip on me so now im in even more trouble. Any ideas on how to get a rounded bolt off. And why does Ford put them on so tight anyway.

i've seen vehicals where the disk brake caliper has one really tight bolt and one loose one, and if your good you can probably get the loose one off and then just swivel the caliper and change the pads.

As for last resort bolt removal, there's always the torch method.
