Ok, we took the FBD to CHurch last night in hopes of going for a cruise to the local Sunday night hang out. Got out of church and there on the ground under the pass side a big green puddle. YUP! heater core. Darn it. We just headed home. But thankful it did not happen on the way to or home from the car show yesterday.
The other revelation. I was reading an artical on Ford 8" & 9 " rear ends with pictures. I have an 8" rear end /forums/images/icons/frown.gif dang it. Who ever put the 351C in put a tration lock 8" 3.25 rear ratio in it and did not change it to a 9".
How long before I blow the 8" rear out of it with a 429. or do you think I will be ok if I don't beat on it too bad?

Tony, sell the 8" traction-loc unit an you'll have enough to buy a good 9". The 8" t-loc's are getting hard to find and are commanding a high price. Just my .02. If you do decide on keeping the 8", it should be good up to 400hp.

The Machine shop estimates 400hp at the fly wheel. So I should be ok. if I go with a really good set of 8" 3.50 t-lock gears? When I can I am going to have the car dynoed and see real worl numbers. When I can find a place around here that does it.

Hey tony, Since you're coming to the CF early; come over to Omaha Friday morning (LOL 116 miles 1 way) and get it dyno'd here. Then we'll just head back friday PM.
