Hi everyone, back again. Seems that with work and family in the summer all I can do is post and run. Found an underdash A/C unit for $200. Has the compressor with it.(not counting on it working) Does that sound lik a good price ? It would be used for a 65 fastback. Would retrofitting an A/C unit in a non A/C car be opening a can of money worms? Any input would be apprecieated.

Go for it. Just forget about the old compressor and get the new unit.

Try to get the condensor and all the underhood brackets. While you're scrounging, get the old lines as well. Even if they are unusable, it will give you an idea as to routing and fittings.

$200 isn't to bad. Saw one at the Chattanooga show Saturday for $500 (Firm)

Never being one to let an opportunity pass, I could suggest that I also have a daily driver unit, interior evap unit is black in color-not Ford at all. Looks similar; complete, less Sanden compresser and hoses (I cut to remove) that I'd love to trade.
Came outta the 65 289 FB.
Remember, non-stock. PM would work.
