Hello all,

I removed and refurbished the carb yesterday.

On the image below I circled two areas that I wonder if something is missing.

The top circle has a "air distribution plate" in the parts manual I have. It wasn't there when I opened up the carb - someone missed it in a previous rebuild?

The lower circle had a spring around the shaft in a video I watched on Youtube - parts manual doesn't show that so assume that is ok.

You're ok without both the plate and the "anti-surge" spring..... you're good to go.
The plate usually is discarded by most carb rebuilders and I don't think I've seen one on a Mustang 2100 anyway.
The spring is more commonly found on 4100's....

I just finished a 2100 rebuild last night. Both the Autolite docs and the FSM show it as your pic shows it. There is no anti purge on those. The float spring is to dampen the decline of the float. It’s also not shown in the docs or FSM. Mine does have it though.
