My timing cover may be unuseable. Need a timing cover for a mid-60's 289. I'm located in the Atlanta area.

No, it's not a SD cover. And the hole that is stripped is not in a position that lends itself to a reliable repair.

I have one from a stock 67 Cougar with a 289 engine. I don't know what the shipping would be from Seattle but I'll check. Maybe we can make a deal.

One of the tapped 5/16" holes on the upper crescent where the water pump bolts up. I could probably put a nut behind it but I would rather have an undamaged part.
I had one of those strip on me too. I put a threaded insert, not a helicoil, in there and everything looks good. Can't tell it's been repaired.
