Another little trick for you would be your employing a block water jacket plug with a zinc insert. Electrolysis attacks the weaker metal available. Electrolysis is attracted to the zinc, saving the block and aluminum radiator.

This is a pic of a radiator zinc plug, block plug is shorter of of course.

Good old white distilled vinegar is much cheaper than any other store-bought block flush. Taking the thermostat out and using panty hose as a filter before the radiator between flushes catches all the crap too.

So I have done 2 flushes with thermocure and have the in-line coolant filter on and am still getting a high temp reading on the gauge. While driving the temp needle will go down to about the M on the gauge and then shoot straight back to almost high mark on the gauge.
I’m at a loss right now and not sure what to do next.

Try to finish filling the cooling system through the upper (intake manifold) heater hose. When the block is full re-connect the heater hose.
