What is a 351 HO. i mean what does the HO stand for. i saw one in a ford truck, dont know the date, probally the 80's. on the air cleaner it says 351 4v HO (4 barrel, yes i know this much) is it a wothy engine to put in a mustang or can the heads at leat be used on my 289? thanx

Hi, the 351HO was built in the mid 80s was a four barrel windsor engine with a hotter cam than standard. It could be a real nice engine for a stang. it sure made those trucks go. I had one in an 87 F250 4x4 and there wasn't much around that would outrun that truck. BEWARE they like their gas!!!! John

Dittos on the gas... I had an 87 E350 with one .. It was a good strong puller.
