A 351W will fit into a 66 with a little work. It's not too bad. If you do a search, this was asked a few days ago and I had a fairly detailed response on the main concerns.

Along with 66gt350, a good tip I read was to use a Monte Carlo bar too. This is because after 35 years, the shock towers tend to lean into the engine compartment and the bar pushes them back out to where they're suppose to be given you that extra fraction of an inch you may need with the headers. Sounds good to me.

Ya, you'll definately want the monte carlo bar. Did I forget to put that in the message? Short term memory....wish I had one *G*. Now what where we talking about?? Oh yea, the monte carlo bar. When I put one it I had to jack the shock towers apart a little ways to get the monte carlo bar to fit. I don't think that the headers would have fit without it.

I used the "curved" MC bar which is actually designed for the big oval air cleaner. It made access to the distributor a little better. Unless concourse, all old Mustangs should be equipped with a MC bar to minimize the formation of fatigue cracks in the aprons and shock towers.
