My buddy is buidling a 351C for his 67 fastback and he bought the motor some what complete. The seller kept the power steering and AC components/brackets. He only has a crank pulley and water pump pulley. This leaves him with no way to mount a belt to the alt. and water pump since the alt. only comes from the crank pulley to begin with. Just like the 460 motors. The power steering belt is what turns the water pump pulley.

I know there is a water pump pulley that will allow him to mount the alt. belt to the crank pulley and water pump pulley because another buddy did this about 10 years ago in his 73 fastback. I think it was a 428 pulley but I am not sure.

Anyone have any suggestions? thanks

I used to only have a alt and ran one belt between them.
The belt was on the in-most drive on the crank and went around the water pump, the alt, and the crank. I still have the water pump pulley and could be talked into selling it ;)....my alt is also mounted in a non-stock location, so maybe all he needs to do is just move the alt around ;)

You can see the installation kinda in the picture:

I have a set of Ford underdrive pulleys for small block Fords that will cover the alt, waterpump and crank if he is interested. He should only need one belt when installing these and they are a good way to boost the engines power a little. Message me if you or he are interested.

I know for a fact that March underdrives work on a 351c. Off couse, the installation required me to relocate my alt once again ;) AS for what my old water pump pulley is from, I don't know, it came on the car when I bought it.

I've got a spare stock 351C water pump pulley as well. Let me know if you need it.
